Aluminum Structural Shapes : Aluminum I Beams

Alloy and Temper: 6061-T6

Aluminum Structural Shapes are made from 6061-T6 alloys. This alloy is twice as strong as architectural aluminum shapes. Structural shapes may be used for high strength lightweight framing and support. These are most commonly formed by extrusion. An aluminum I beam is similar to an S beam in that it has tapered flanges. Aluminum I beams are specified by alloy, flange width and web thickness.
