Carbon Steel : Bar Channels

Bar channels are singly symmetrical “C shaped”, whose greatest dimension, excluding length is less than 3inches. Bar channels are useful for smaller non-structural applications such as brackets, light shelving and reinforcing applications. They are cold workable, and are good for welding. Bar channels are designated by their size; depth x flange width x web thickness. A sample bar channel would be 1 x 3/8 x 1/8.
