Carbon Steel : Stringer Channels
Stringer channels are light duty channels often used as stair stringers. They may also be known as junior channels or even stair stringers. They may have other light duty uses as well. . Channels are symmetrical on one side, giving a āCā shape. These also go by the shape designation MC. The depth and the weight per foot designate stringer channels. A stringer designated C8 x 8.5 would be a 8ā deep by 8.5 lbs per foot.
