Sheet Piling : Z Piling
Z piles are corrugated section piles, which unlike H piles are used to retain loads laterally. Sections will interlock with each other and intermediate connectors allow Z pile walls to curve and reverse curve. Applications include sea walls retaining walls and foundation stabilization. Z piles are also used in the construction of Coffer Dams, structures that are used to hold water back during bridge building, oil platform inspection or repair. Z piling sections interlock with each other. Z piles are the most common found in North America.
